New York Cupcake

Not sure what it was Monday night, maybe it was the stressful meeting that day or the giddy tourist teenagers running into Crumbs Bakery that made me follow. They really didn’t need any sugar, they were buzzing by just reading the descriptions of the cupcakes. In my opinion it’s always best to go local so I decided on the Baba Booey cupcake for my dessert, named after Howard Stern’s producer. It was a mixture of peanut butter and chocolate. After the teenagers left the store, the bakers and I discussed many important matters like how red velvet is getting a little played out since everyone seems to have a red velvet something. The bakery kindly prints the calorie count on the cupcake signs so I walked out knowing my treat weighed in at over 500 calories. I’m proud to say I only had half.
Cut to the workout room at the hotel the next morning – I picked a treadmill that had a view of a giant Boardwalk Empire sign in Times Square. It was as if every time I thought about giving up Nucky was giving me the cold stare, daring me to take a step off before the cupcake was a memory.

Which half did you eat: Peanut Butter or Chocolate? Or a little from Column A and a little from Column B?
